"Orvis"

"Orvis" is a young male pointer mix that I am fostering for the Green Springs Humane Society. He is looking for his forever home. Orvis is achingly timid and craving to be loved. He is tall and lean with great markings and a glossy black coat. Like Michelangelo who said that he chipped away at the marble to free the statue within, we are hoping that someone out there (maybe you?) was born to free Orvis from his shell and allow him the simple luxuries of never missing a meal nor spending the night in the cold again. Orvis will do well in a quiet home where he can be with his person and settle in to a dog's life as it was meant to be.
Orvis is good indoors and will rest quietly until it is time for an adventure. He is being lovingly fostered on our farm where he is socialized with people, dogs, cats, and horses. He is already neutered, crate trained, up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, and heartworm negative. Orvis will change the path of your life and his"coming out" process promises to be one of the most significant things you will accomplish this year. Orvis is very special. And yes, he does look magnificent resting on a plaid dog bed next to a cozy fire.
The Green Springs Humane Society has a lifetime guarantee on all of the animals we adopt out: If at any point in the animal's life you are unable to care for him, we will take him back immediately.
